Blogger Box Swap with Marine!

Hello everyone!

So a while back.... I had an idea of doing a "My Little Box" exchange with a fellow My Little Box subscriber from France. I initially had the idea that once we received our boxes from the November edition we would then forward them on to each other to see how the French version of MLB differs from the UK one. From what I have seen from other French Bloggers and on instagram there seems to be some differences and I was interested and thought it could be a good idea to see what these were. So... I put a comment on a thread on the MLB French facebook page and a lovely fellow subscriber called Marine replied to me who is also a blogger and has a fantastic blog! (Please go check it out! I will link it below at the end.. ) Marine agreed it could be an interesting idea to switch boxes.. However.. we soon realised that the cost of the P&P for the boxes to be sent from France to the UK (and vice versa) was actually going to be fairly expensive..

So..... Marine proposed an idea to me that we could each make an individual box for each other and give each other ideas about things we like. The basic criteria for the boxes was something to incorporate a range of beauty/make up/lifestyle/food items.. and as the shopping went on we both got a little carried away with the items! Ahaha it is pretty difficult not to be! So I think in the end we both each had something like 10/11 items for each other.. We agreed to send the boxes so they would arrive for early-mid December - The perfect Christmas present!

Since November; Marine and myself have been chatting away on facebook and have began a really good friendship - We have found out that we have a lot in common and we share a lot of enthusiasm for make up and beauty boxes! Marine has her own blog which is fantastic and is helping me with my French skills (as my French is not so good...) where as Marine's English I find to be very good!

So now let me express my excitement for the box I received from Marine and let's see the contents!!

On opening the box Marine had so cleverly labelled all the items and had made a little menu in French to give me hints about what was in each individual wrapped package. A lot of time was spent to make all the individual packages very special and I was really excited to open them all!

Item 1 had the clue of: "Pour ton bain" - "For your bath"

This cute little package was a Yves Rocher "Cube Petillant Pomme Delice" - A fizzy bath cube in Apple delight.

Now seeing as we are in the heart of winter I have been taking a lot of baths so I will definitely look forward to using this! It is so cute!

From the clue I got for item no. 2 I assumed it was something to eat..... as the clue was... une specialite francaise (c'est sucre)

Chocolat trufees! - These Truffes de Bruxelles are to die for! I am eating them slowly as I don't want them to end! They are an assortment of truffles that are so delicious and rich! I love these a lot!

Ok item no.3....... Clue.... "pour tes ongles"

Nail accessories! Another product from Yves Rocher - Love this brand! And I am disappointed it is fairly difficult to come by here in the UK as I loved the perfume I received in the My Little Sweet Box November edition from MLB. I must add... The aim of this was for us to give each other a taste of our homes... so to speak... and to introduce and give products that would be difficult to come by in our own countries..

These little multi nail stencils are adorable and Marine knows how much I love to do my nails and do quirky designs so these are fantastic! I saw a photo of Marine's nails done with the heart stencils and they were soooo cute! I can't wait to have some fun with these!

Item no. 4 was a beautiful rose gold necklace from h&m which is exactly the style I like... Dainty.. As I like to layer up necklaces..

The packaging for these items was done ever so beautifully... With glitter fabric, ribbons, and cellophane paper.. They were so adorable!

Ok so for item no. 5 - The start of my favourite brand which Marine knows all too well about! And is Sephora!!!

The perfect start to perfect nails and nail files are something that I do not actually have many of... So I was happy to see Marine had included this necessity product!

Item no. 6 - "Pour etre belle jusque 'au bout des ongles.." - Sephoraaaa nail polish!!!

The packaging for the Sephora items was very beautiful and the colours I received are gorgeous; They are called "Never say No" and "Tropical Bird". Never Say no is very pale gold/brown colour which is very shimmery and will be perfect for when I use the nail stencils... Tropical Bird is a green shade with green shimmer/glitter running through it..

Next item no. 7 was a foodie one! Which are typical French biscuits called "mini biscuits roses de reims". I love these! Very delicious!

I love being able to experience traditional products of France and loved that by exchanging boxes we were able to do this!

Item no. 8 to my excitement was another Sephora product! An eyeshadow palette!

This eyeshadow palette is called Wonderful Dreams and has a range of matte and iridescent finishes which are beautiful and I am so happy to have received this. The colours range from warm and natural to more intense pigment hues.

Item no. 9 - And the clue was "A make that I really like and is very French" and is...... CAUDALIE! I love this brand and was first introduced to it through MLB when I received a hand cream in one box. Marine sent me a little set with a rose hand and nail cream and a lip conditioner.

Item no. 10 was a very special one! As it was the Rose Gold Glossybox French edition! Myself and Marine decided to do a box exchange as there was the NARS box on offer in the UK which Marine was very interested in getting; so I agreed to get one for her and as an exchange she would take the Rose Gold box for me... Myself and Marine are beauty box addicts! So this was a fun exchange! My review for this box is still to come but please check out Marine's review of the NARS box if you happen to love NARS as much as we do - Its a fantastic box.

And then...... There was a surprise/forgotten item that Marine added in at the end which was a rose shower gel - It has little floating hearts inside which are really cute! And its smells amazing!

Overall.... The experience of doing a box swap was very enjoyable and I loved selecting items that I thought Marine would like.. I am delighted with my box and Marine's selections were wonderful! It was a pleasure to receive and I will enjoy eating/wearing/using all the products!

C'est fantastique!

I hope Marine and myself will meet up at some and I am sure we will as we have developed a very good friendship through this experience and I have really enjoyed doing the swap... So....  Merci Beaucoup for taking part and giving me such a fabulous box!
