My Little Wish Box January 2016

Bonjour mes amis!

I am pleased to have received another delightful box from My Little Box and I am pleased to share my review of it for you lovely readers.

The theme of the first box for 2016 from MLB is "Wish". The box is beautifully illustrated once again by Kanako and there is a cute little story on the side of the lid that says "in 2016 we hope that you.. " and then goes on to describe different events such as "Love. a lot. Push the boundaries. Dream, Keep moving, Travel further.. " and so on. It is a sweet little story filled with cute ideas for the year ahead of us.

On opening the box I noticed it was a very full box and the lid nearly didn't fit properly on to it... So I was very intrigued to see what was inside!

The card found on the top of the box displays a quote from Walt Disney and says "All our dreams can come true. If you have the courage to pursue them." The card is in a lovely mint green/duck egg sort of colour which is a running colour theme in this box which I think is lovely. I will be adding this print to my collection of cards that I like to frame and display around my home.

I was pleased to see the return of the glossy magazine as I was hoping the one found in the Magic Box was not just a Christmas one off special..  This month's mag does not appear to have the usual title of "My Little World" but simply says "Wish" on the front cover. As it is a new year MLB are looking to start the magazine with a "brand new look - one that will continue to transform each and every month.

The first lifestyle item I found in the box was a beautiful 2016 diary. The diary is in a pale mint green colour with rose gold metallic writing that says "Dear year, I like you." and then in small writing at the bottom says.. "(Love me)". The diary has a week to view and it is beautifully put together with little inspirational quotes and messages. I will definitely be using this as I do not actually have a diary for this year and this is a busy year for me so this will come in most handy! The diary retails at £10 available on mylittlecorner.fr - only for French subscribers.

The second lifestyle item I found in the box was a little pack that says "Petit Riens" on it. I was a bit unsure what these were however on unravelling the little pack I found there to be 5 cute little bracelets.. 4 of which are little ribbon bracelets with an individual message on each. The idea behind these bracelets is to cut out the little cards and send a bracelet to whoever you wish with a personalised message. A very cute idea however the bracelets are simply a piece of ribbon so I am a little unsure how they are supposed to be attached to your wrist? Must just have to tie them. There is one bracelet "just for you" and this one is very nice.. It has a mint green thread with a little gold bar on it and a Chinese knot at the back for adjusting it on to your wrist. I think the other bracelets would have been a bit more practical had they put this style of knot on them to make wearing a bit easier. All the same.... I love the idea behind this and might send some of these to friends.

These bracelets retail for £6 which I think to be pretty reasonable.

Now on to the beauty products.. ! And.... I am pleased to say that that little canvas draw string bag has returned.

The first item I picked out was a product by the My Little Beauty range and is a Lip Balm with a very pleasant scent that smells almost like vanilla cupcakes. This is a nice little item by My Little Beauty and a lip balm is something I will always get use out of (especially in the winter time).

The lip balm retails for £7 on my mylittlecorner.

The next item I received was a Miracle wake up cream from Garnier.

I am a big fan of Garnier creams and feel like they always have a nice consistency and sit well with my skin. The cream is packed with smoothing, rapid-diffusion micro peptides and brings "radiance back to knackered complexions and revives tired-looking skin." I will be interested to try this and I am sure it will not disappoint. Garnier are a brand that I have been really impressed with recently as I am slightly obsessed with their micellar water. I received a full sized product of this cream and it is £12.99 for 50ml.

The last of the beauty items I received was a Rose Centifolia 3-in1 cleansing water by REN. I like that this product is an intergrated product as it cleanses, tones and refreshes your complexion. Great for when I don't have time to go through my full skin care regime. This water has soothing rose otto oils and protective polyphenols which are perfect for sensitive skin and to prevent any flare ups. La Vie en Rose!

I received a 50ml size of this product and this retails at £13 for 200ml.

REN is giving 20% off their entire range at renskincare.com when the code "MYLITTLEBOX20" is entered at the checkout. Offer valid until 31/01/2016.

I am really pleased with this month's offering from MLB - I think since last month's box they have been really upping their game and taking on board the comments made by subscribers. I will use of all this months products and always like to receive nice skincare products so I will be hoping to see more make up style products next month.

Favourite product: The diary - I love how cute this diary is and is something I really needed.

Least Favourite product: I liked everything in this box... but would have to say the bracelets that you can give to your friends. I am not so fond of how they are simply just a ribbon.

Overall; I would give this box a big 9 out of 10! I hope MLB keep up this brilliant effort and look forward to February's box!

What did you think of this month's box?

A big merci beaucoup to you for reading! Stay wishful!

A bientot!
