My Little Magic Box December 2015

Bonjour mes ami's! And a very Happy New Year or should I say.... Bonne Annee!

I apologise that this post is rather on the late side... the festivities caught up with me! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and a well deserved break and quality time spent with your loved ones.

Now... On to the latest offering from My Little Box! This box was very highly anticipated.. as everyone was intrigued to see what My Little Box would pull out of the bag for Christmas and I must say... They did not disappoint! I think since my subscription to MLB began in February 2015.. This has to be my favourite box I have received so far and was very happy with what I received. MLB give yourselves a well deserved round of applause!

Ok let's have a look at the contents of the box..

The box was beautifully designed with the MLB statement Kanako illustrations which depict people celebrating/dancing (even around the box) and beautifully and may I add (thoughtfully) placed is an illustration of the Eiffel Tower in the centre of the box.

Upon opening the box the standard illustrated Kanako card was tucked behind the MLB ribbon and I cannot fault MLB for their presentation of the each and every box... they rarely fail to impress me...

On reading the back of the card I was pleased to see that this box has a little novelty idea surrounding it.... The card says... "This box is magical... Do you know why?"

Basically if you download an app - "My Little Magic App" .. and follow the instructions.. You will see the figures on the box dance and come to life.. I must say I am not one to be into these type of things.. But this was pretty nice.

I was happy to see the return of the glossy "My Little World" magazine! After much dissatisfaction from a lot of UK subscribers about receiving the paper fold out format of the magazine... MLB appear to have taken on board what people were saying and have re-introduced the glossy mag.. Let's hope its here to stay!

Now on to the exciting part! The products! The first item I had a look at was some oh so cute and very practical mitten style heat retaining gloves. These gloves I love sooo much as the colour is beautiful.. Almost like a midnight blue colour with gold thread running through the material. These mittens allow you to be able to use your hands whilst on the go.. for texting.. etc.. and then if it gets too cold you just put the top part back over your hand which can be buttoned in place if you otherwise don't want a full mitten. So far I have had a lot of practical use out of these and the little hint of sparkle is perfect for the festive season! These retail for £10 on the mylittlecorner.fr website however.. still unavailable for UK subscribers.

I was also delighted to receive some loose tea.. (although I will need to get myself a strainer..) The brand is Kusmi tea and I received the Imperial Label blend.. which is cinnamon and lemon. I will be interested to try this as I don't often have loose tea at home but I will give it a try... and I love anything Cinnamon!...

The next thing I came across was a beautiful make up bag in similar colours to the gloves with cute little drawings of cosmetic items on it. It would appear that MLB had the idea to replace the standard draw string bag with something a little more special especially for Christmas. I love, love, love this make up bag and will definitely be filling it up with cosmetics. This bag is retails for £6.

On opening the make up bag filled with cosmetic goodness! The first item I pulled out was...... Wait for it.... A very impressive... Melted Liquefied Long wear lipstick by the brand Too Faced. If you seen my last post on the Too Faced make up palette.. This is a brand I am very impressed with at the moment and intend to buy more of their products.. I received the shade.. Melted Fuchsia. It is a rather bright pink shade but one I will most definitely get some use out of.. It is something a bit different than my staple red lip. I received a 5ml size and 12 ml retails for £19.

The second item in the bag was a Rituals "Touch of Happiness" rich, nourishing body cream. Now after Christmas I think I now have a supply of body lotions to keep me going all year so I would have been happier to see another cosmetic item included or a perfume,, something more fitting for the holiday season. Nonetheless.. It is a sweet, fresh scented lotion that I will get around to using as I do love Rituals brand and have received some of their products in other beauty boxes that I have liked. I received a 70ml size and this retails for £17 per 200ml.

The final item to be found in the make up bag was the standard "My Little Beauty" product which I am pleased to say was a nail polish duo... This is again running with the theme of blue and gold as one is a midnight blue colour which says "night" on it and the other is a beautiful gold sparkly glitter colour which says "sparkling" on it. The magazine gives some clever tutorials and ideas for ways to use both of the polishes.. for New Years eve I painted mines with the blue and then painted the gold sparkling one on top whuch went perfect with my New Years eve look. The consistency and quality of these nail polishes are superb and I am really pleased for how long it has stayed on with minimal chipping. This duo retails for £7. Definitely a bargain.

Overall I was more than pleased with this month's box and if MLB can keep this up for 2016 then I am super excited about what upcoming ideas they have!

Least Favourite product: Rituals body lotion..... (Bit boring)

Favourite product: The gloves and nail polish duo.

Most definitely a very Magic box indeed was had by My Little Box and I hope you enjoyed my review on this...

I wish everyone a very happy and prosperous 2016!

Stay Magical!

Lots of Love
Cheryl xxx
